A year of memories..
Life has taught me to simplify and to put things into perspective. Of course, there are things that I am unable to do that I did before, but through the lastcouple years I have tried to make the most of the time I do have with my kids. It has definitely been an adjustment for all of us. The one thing I have yet to learn is to simplify the tradition of making birthdays a big deal. Hey, I have cut them down to every other year...does that count? Oh ya, and I rarely make a homemade cake! So we'll start with Carsons Pirate Party with our own Captain Hook (aka Maddy)! We lived like pirates for a day...from cooking over a fire, root beer in bottles, treasure hunt, and we even had our own pirate ship battle with marshmallows instead of cannons!

Halloween 2007
Mom as a "Nun"- Now why would I choose that costume? :)-Charissa as a Police Officer-Madalyn as a breathtaking Cow Girl- Anna as Hannah Montana of course :) and Carson as Jack Sparrow!

Thanksgiving 2007
We spent the week at Grandma and Grandpa's cabin in Liberty, Utah. We had a great time with our family: riding the four wheelers, playing games, watching movies, eating and more eating. I am most grateful to my Heavenly Father for these children, this is one of my favorite pictures of all of us!
Anna turns 9! And of course she celebrated in true Hannah style...singing, dancing, and giggling with her friends. She kept telling me all she wanted for her birthday was an American Girl doll that looked just like her. Well, me being the procrastinator that I am..I ordered her too late for her to get it on her birthday. This kept up the suspense all week til finally she came in the mail-Don't they look cute? Can't believe how grown up our Anna is!

Winter: Can I just tell you how glad I am that winter is over?! Though I have to admit, I love winter now that my kids are old enough to put on their own snow clothes and boots....

We got a lot of snow this year, and one thing the kids and I did was create our own sled hill. One day we took all of the snow off the ground and shoveled it up and onto our rock wall. This created a steep and short slope to the ground. We had so much fun sliding down on our stomachs and then we even got out our swimming boards and used those for our "snowboards"- what blast...these are the moments..

So these are a few of the MOMENTS that we had this year...
